In you, I found my home...

I can still remember vividly in my mind the first time I saw you in 2010 at our school campus... you had the prettiest mysterious eyes, an eye catching smile [Anne Curtis- esque] and a glowing face [as if the sun radiates only on you, you were outglowing everyone in the campus]. You were alone and seemed lost, guys were looking at you. Guilty. I was one of those looking...starring at you. I told one of my buddies, I like you so but I refused to be introduced to you in person as I was starstruck thinking that you might not even care to know me. You were my college dream girl.

I had the guts to send an SMS and added you on facebook. We became friends and had been in touch but drifted apart when I started working until I saw your billboard in DMCI and infomertial in condo kiosks. I have reached out and you EVEN helped me with my property concerns...expedited, Yes. 🙂 but this was not our time yet. We became friends [atleast in social media]; never thought you would be mine oneday, but I remembered when I was a child, I told my lolo Berning I would date a model one day. You were my ideal girlfriend.

Time flew so fast...Pandemic hit and a lot has happened in my life. Needless to say, I was lost. People sometimes feel that I had an ideal life because I have always been driven in my career and have been focused on my parents. People see me in my good years, yet you have seen me in my most challenging times. You were there for me when I was in my worst. You have embraced me along with my flaws. You have loved me even on times that I can't even love myself. I remembered one night I was crying... you looked at me and said - "Jag, you are always focused on taking care of your family and people around you. It's time that you let someone take care of you."

From this day, I knew you were the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. You were my ideal wife.

I can't even imagine how the universe brought us here as I have always thought that being in love means crazily and madly in love with someone and all these years, I have always prayed for something ideal. You made me realize that love is about loving unconditionally. You made me feel that loving is about embracing someone's imperfections. You made me feel that I am blessed and lucky. You made me realize that God does not only give us the ideal things we prayed for, but He gives us what our heart desires. In my case, God knew I was not just praying for an ideal person...

You were my college dream girl.
You were my ideal girlfriend.
You were my ideal wife.
But God knew my heart desires for more than ideal and He blessed me to find my home in you, Lilett Aninion.
